Embark on a voyage that combines the best of the Ionian Islands with the exceptional experience of sailing through the Corinth Canal—a narrow, steep-walled waterway that separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece and connects two seas. One of the most iconic waterways in the world.
The route begins in Lefkada and continues along the western coast through Preveza, the deep, fjord-like bay of Vathy on Ithaca (an island bound to Odysseus), and the Venetian port of Fiskardo on Kefalonia, one of the most beautiful on the entire island.
From there, we head through the Gulf of Patras under the Rion–Antirion Bridge to historic Messolonghi, tied to the Greek War of Independence and Lord Byron, with a possible stop in the Venetian port of Nafpaktos. The final day before the canal crossing itself will be spent in atmospheric Galaxidi, followed by the climax of the voyage—sailing through the Corinth Canal into the Saronic Gulf and arriving at our final destination, Alimos Marina in Athens.
